The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Richard Ahiagbah has rejected the reasons given by Ranking Member on the Finance Committee of Parliament Dr Cassiel Ato Forson for the current economic challenges facing Ghana.
Mr Ahiagbah said that the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) keeps denying the fact that exogenous factors have impacted Ghana’s economy negatively.
Dr Ato Forson who is also lawmaker for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam had blamed the economic crisis on the large size of the government, the over 1000 presidential staffers paid as Article 71 Office holders and others.
But reacting to this, Mr Ahiagbah said in a tweet that “Will the NDC ever be honest with Ghanaians? Their continuous denial of the global factors impacting Ghana confirms why Ghanaians say the NDC is incompetent.
“A fuller response will be given soon to Hon. Ato Forson’s twisted reasons.”
