The running mate of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has emphasised that the NDC’s manifesto has been drawn to cater for the youth, women and the vulnerable in society.
Prof Jane Naana says the one million job programme scripted in the NDC’s manifesto will cater for youth and fight youth unemployment urging the youth to vote for the NDC come December 7 polls to get the “big push” agenda of the party materialised.
She said market women who are running small businesses will be supported to expand their businesses stressing that the NDC’s “the people’s manifesto” has considered activities that will get women in Ghana empowered economically.
The Vice presidential candidate further called on constituents in the Wa Central constituency to consider voting for the incumbent Member of Parliament Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpou and H.E John Dramani Mahama. She noted that constituents of the Wa Central should take the monies “allegedly” been given by the NPP to influence voters but reject the NPP in the December polls accenting that, the money belongs to the people of Ghana.
The NDC’s running mate made the statement at the Wa Tendaaba Primary School park in a rally addressing party faithfuls of the NDC as part of her 2-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region.
As part of the 1-day activities, Naana Jane paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Waala traditional Kingdome Naa Seidu Fuseini Pelpou IV where she was advised to do clean campaign devoid of vilification.
