An NPP group calling itself the Youth Patriots, in the Upper West Region has registered their displeasure about the actions and inaction of some government appointees which if not checked can send the party back to opposition. The group in a press stated noted that, the party youth have been left out and some actions portray by some appointees are not in any way helping the party.
“Young patriots of NPP wishes to tell the leaders of our tradition (NPP) that if care is not taken, the actions and inaction of some of the appointees in government are likely to take the party to its early opposition and this will be the worst embarrassment ever in the political history of the 4th republic of Ghana” the statement noted.
Though the group did not clearly indicate the actions of the appointees, they went further to appeal to them to rebuild their relation with the youth, adding that, the youth and grassroots of the party are like candles to the party which burns in order to give light to the party.
“We again wish to plead with the appointees that, they should value and protect the relationship they had with the youth and grassroots of the party. The youth and grassroots of the party are like candles that burn themselves to give light to the party” they indicated.
The statement was written and signed by Alhaj Npuani on behalf of the youth on Thursday, August 30, 2018.
