Parlaimentary Candidate elect for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Wa East district, Ing. Salifu Yakubu who floored three of his contenders to lead the party to the 2020 general elections has on Monday June 22, 2020 cut sod for the construction of a borehole for the Loggu D/A Primary and Junior High Schools to curtail the difficulty pupils go through in search of water during schooling days.
Speaking to Radio Waa News, Ing. Salifu Yakubu indicated that, during his campaigns prior to the primaries, the people of Loggu appealed to him to provide water for their school children as the pupils usually walk far distance before they can get water during schooling days hence the gesture taken to put smiles on the faces of the pupils when school resumes.
Touching on 2020 general elections, the PC was optimistic that with unity among members of the elphant family in the Wa East district, the party will retain the seat. He indicated with strong conviction that the NDC’s Member of Parliament for the area cannot prevent him from representing the constituents adding that he will involve everybody in his campaings to retain the seat for the NPP come december polls.
Meanwhile, residents of Loggu who plea was heeded to by the parliamentary candidate expressed gratitude to Ing. Salifu Yakubu for the honour done them adding that, with the steps taken so far by the PC, they will throw their weight behind him to ensure that he gets the mandate of the people of Wa East after the 2020 general elections.
Headmaster of Loggu D/A Junior High School, Gurugu Alhassan on behalf of staff and students of the school thanked the parliamentary candidate for the aid given them and was of the believe that the borehole will ease their struggle for water during schooling days.
