Zoomlion Ghana Limited in partnership with government through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) has embarked on another disinfection exercise in basic and Senior High Schools in Upper West Region.
The exercise started on September 26, 2020 targets 46 Senior High and 776 basic schools in the region ahead of reopening.
Addressing the media, Mr. Emmanuel Volisuuri Upper West Regional Manager of Zoomlion Ghana was confident that the exercise could be completed before October 3, 2020.
He noted that the disinfection exercise is not a permanent solution to the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus. He thus urged the public to still adhere to the laid down health protocols.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abukari Aminu, Senior House Master for Islamic Senior High School expressed gratitude to Zoomlion Ghana and government for the initiative.
He said that the disinfection exercise together with the enforcement of the health protocols will allay the fears of both students and teachers who will be returning to school in October.
Suglo Benjemin, Headmaster of Doodiyiri Junior High School was thrilled that his school was disinfected ahead of the partial reopening in October.
He told the media that all structures within the school’s compound have been disinfected. Mr. Suglo thanked Zoomlion Ghana and the government for the move.
