Muslim Intellectual Network that supervises and mentor Muslim youth in the Upper West Region has organised its 2020 summit in Wa in the Upper West Region and awarded students who excelled in their BECE and WASSCE.
Addressing the media on Saturday January 9, 2020 after the submit, President of Muslim Intellectual Network (MIN) Abdul Rahim Abdulaih says, the Network full of young professionals seeks to mentor youth in the society especially the Muslim youth and also to create a network among the Muslim professionals to give an opportunity for the younger generation to think within the world of creativity and entrepreneurship in order to become employers and not employees.
He says the Muslim youth are improving tremendously since the inception of MIN adding that, the award system will create healthy competition among Muslim students and Islamic schools in the Upper West Region. 21 schools in the region got their best students awarded. Best WASSCE Male, Female and Best BECE Male and Female were honoured with awards mainly laptops whiles the best performing and improved schools were given cash prizes. MIN also acknowledged the efforts of hardworking teachers by honouring them with awards.
On his part Abubakar Al-Wassiu, best male WASSCE candidate who excelled in his examination and bagged home aggregate 8 after completing Lassie Tuolo Senior High School and was awarded by MIN, expressed excitement over the honour done him stating that, he never anticipated such honour. He seized the opportunity and appealed to his colleague Muslim brothers and sisters to pay much attention to their education.
Meanwhile Abudi Faiza who could not totally achieved her dream of getting a single digit in his WASSCE after completing T.I Ahmaddiya SHS with aggregate 15 and becoming the Best Female WASSCE candidate, indicated that she will contribute massively to the success of MIN once she completes her tertiary education.
Muslim Intellectual Network has been in existence for over five years and still calls for many Muslim professionals to join the Network irrespective of their profession.
