President of the republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to tour the Upper West Region on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 as part of his working visit to the region in the first quarter of the year, 2020.
The president is expected to cut sod for the construction of a solar system in the Upper West Region. The region is expected to benefit 17Megawatts of solar energy with 13Megawatts based in Kaleo in the Nadowli/Kaleo district and 4Megawatts of solar energy to be constructed at Lawra in the Upper West Region.
H.E President Akufo-Addo will also visit and inspect ongoing projects dotted around the region. The tour is expected to start at 9:30 Tuesday morning.
