Sherry Namare, a gospel artiste in the Upper West Region says, she realised her dream as a music at a very tender age.
Although Sherry almost spent all her life at the southern part of Ghana, the musician never forgets where she is from as she blends one or two words of her native language in her music so that people will know where she comes from.
The Barika hitmaker in an interview with dj Derry Gee on Radio Waa’s drive time show stated “I realised I could sing when I was in class two when I had the chance to lead my school choir because the person who does that was absent”. My parents were very happy to see me do it because every Christian parents would be happy to see their children committed on matters of GOD” she added.
Sherry Namare’s challenges such as attacks and defamation of character ended up inspiring her, that made her released her first album dubbed Namwini-sungma meaning God helped me which contains 10 tracks including Barika.
