The Member of Parliament for the Nadowli/Kaleo constituency, also 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban S.K Bagbin has expressed his gratitude to the president of the republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government for continuing the solar power systerm at Kaleo whose dealings according to him started in 2012.
He added that, the project will give a lot of advantage to be exploited by his constituents and urges the government to work on the project with the needed pace. He noted that the government should not relent in calling for his support in the execution of this project.
The 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament made this known at Kaleo in the Nadowli/Kaleo district of the Upper West Region during the sod cutting ceremony of the 17Meggawatts project held in Kaleo for which Kaleo will have 13MW solar power system and the 4MW will be installed at Lawra also in the Upper West Region.
The project when completed will help boost the power systerm of the region which was mainly based on the Volta River Authority and that will reduce the intermittent power supply the region sometimes witnessed.
