Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) for the Wa West Constituency Supt Peter Lanchene Toobu (Rtd) has said the ruling New Patriotic Party has failed to deliver on it’s many promises during the 2016 electioneering period. Supt Lanchene Toobu named the One Village One Dam (1V1D), One District One Factory (1D1F), One million dollars per constituency as some of the promises government has failed to achieve.
He said ” the failure of the Akufo Addo led government is so clear that, Nana Addo himsef would admit it. “If you ask President Nana Addo himself, if he’s candid and fears God, he will tell you ‘infact I have failed”.
Speaking at a town hall meeting in Wechiau , the parliamentary candidate described the Nana Addo’s government as “dishonest” and one that “cannot be trusted with power again”. Supt Lanchene Toobu re-emphasised the NDC’s People’s Manifesto as the solution to the citizenry.
For his part, Regional Organiser of the NDC, Hon Issahaku Nuhu Putieha said ” the NPP said they cannot win power genuinely but they will cheat” . He urged the youth to open their eyes and give the NPP a close mark “boot for boot”.
Meanwhile at Meteu, Lanchene assured the people of connecting Meteu community to the national grid, providing school infrastructure and ensuring quality network connectivity, should the NDC win power in the upcoming polls.
He described Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as a joker and a laughing stock.
Meanwhile, Upper West Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, Prosper Puo-ire says a vote for Peter Lanchene and John Dramani Mahama is an assurance that, the people of Meteu and its surrounding communities in the Wa West constituency will benefit from jobs, free primary healthcare, free fertilizers and the national apprenticeship policy and all other promises on the people’s manifesto.
