As part of the Ghana Football Coaches Association to gain the needed recognition from the Ghana Football Association , the Ministry of Youth and Sport and any other significant developmental partners have taken a step further and tasked all registered members in the various regions to form a sub Associations .
The Upper West Branch of the Association which have been in existence for sometime now , which the individual members was duly recognised by the national quarter , but which the Association itself was yet to be duly recognised, have recieved duly recognition and the leadership was inducted in the Association in an inaugural ceremony held in Wa , the capital town of the region.
The former National under 20 assistant Coach Ahmed Nurudeen , in his inaugural speech as the Association Chairman extolled some members behind the formation of the Association and tasked them to still work hard for the forward drive of the Association.
The chairman espouses the motive behind the formation of the Association as a welfare body but as partners in the development of the game in harnessing talents and sharing knowledge in the interest of the game are ready to work with the Regional Football Association in developing talents in the region and in the country as a whole.
He assured clubs in the region of fostering a working relationship with them and tasked the clubs to take advantage of imploring their members who have the psychological know how , once the game is driven by psychology.
Alhaji Abubakari Mumuni , former gaffer for Wa AllStars , first Vice Chairman of UWFCA briefly shared how the Association came into been with the efforts of some individual members who work tirelessly towards the birth of the Association. Issah Najahu , the current BlackStars goalkeeper’s trainer as one of whose , he added.
The representative of the Upper West Regional Football Association , Mr Asamoah in a speech on behalf of the Chairman charged members of coaching Association to foster unity and also close their ranks devoid of envy.
The Ghana Football Coaches Association National Coordinator, Mr. Abege Wilson , who was the guest of honour thanked the members of the Association for working towards this day and also conveyed warn felicitation from the National Chairman to members.
He charged members of the Association to pay some attention to the development of the basics at the juvenile level, where the demand of good Football from the premier league level commenced from .
The Coordinator challenged members to explore other avenues of broadening themselves ahead of multiple tasks of venturing into Football administration, scouting, sports nutrition and video Analyst.
He tasked members to shun from the culture of self criticism and learnt to work together and desist from pulling each other in pursuance of occupying one’s position.
The leadership of the Association was outdoored and inducted after swearing of oath of allegiance to the Association.
