Popular dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has asked politicians not to use his image or works to campaign.
The musician performed during the final campaign rally of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 elections, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
But the award-winning artiste has spoken against political parties campaigning with his brand and name.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, August 25, Shatta Wale stated that “moving forward…no one should use my picture or my brand on any political campaign or platforms”.
“Myself and my loyal fans will support and cooperate with any person who Ghanaians elect as their president”.
Celebrities and musicians have publicly thrown their weight behind many political actors in Ghana in recent years.
