Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih on Tuesday December 31 has call on all political parties to be circumspect and decorous in their politicking to ensure peace as 2020 electioneering campaigns will certainly commence.
He entreats that citizens of Upper West Region should demonstrate the maturity in them as they continue to boastfully advertise themselves as the signal of democracy.
Dr. Bin Salih expressed his profound gratitude to the entire region as well as organizations who played various vital roles in making the Region a peaceful place for all.
The Minister also recognized the difficulties the region faced but expressed confidence that the signs of a better and brighter tomorrow are very clear in this 2020.
He was optimistic that, the challenges encountered in 2019, were also with the needed remedies with high level of courage and compassion.
He therefore implores Upper Westerners to please keep the celebrations safe and wish them a happy and transformative new year.
This was disclosed in Wa during an end of year press soiree organised by the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council where the minister addresses the media on their achievement and some setbacks encountered in the previous year.
Journalists were offered the opportunity to ask questions and demand for answers and also to give out suggestions and recommendations they thought could help in the manning of the region to once again record the greater peace and unity at the end of 2020 which is going to a busy year with political campaigns and elections.
