Leadership of women trading in the Wa central market have unreservedly apologised to the Wa Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin for using harsh and abusive words against him during a relocation exercise the Assembly conducted to move some women trading at the Fadama market to the new market.
The exercise which seems not go down well with some sections of the women, they resorted to vulgar language attacking the personality of the MCE and his officers at the Assembly.
However, a special delegation sent by the Market Women Association led by Hajia Bushera who went to the office of the MCE on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 told Radio Waa 92.1fm that the comments made by some of their fellow market women were unacceptable hence their apologies.
Hon. Alhaj Issahaku Tahir Moomin, MCE Wa Municipal Assembly in his response accepted their apologies and asked them to all rally behind him in his quest to making the market a better place for all of them.
It will be recalled that, the MCE who directed the traders doing business around the Fadama area to move to the new market indicated that, the old Fadama section of the market was set for some developmental works to be commenced. He noted that, the project is world bank funded project which comprises 120 stores and other facilities.
