The National Chairman of the People’s National Conversion Bernard Mornah has indicated that the PNC will introduce radicalism in the upcoming general elections stressing that if anyone slaps a PNC member they will slap you back and if any one shoots at them they will shoot back.
He said the party will do what a politician will do to win emphasing that, the party will not continue doing things the same way even if it does not work for them stating that members of the People National Conversion are not weakly and can stand up for themselves.
“we can’t do the same thing over and over again and expect different results, so radicalism will be introduced in the PNC in the 2020 elections, we will do what a politician will do, we are not going to the mosque we are not going to the church we are on a political terrain and therefore we must be willing to be dirty, if others are doing dirty politics and we keep on hearing that we should not do dirty politics and it appears that the Ghanaian society is interested in dirty politicians then let us also be dirty so that when we win we can all start cleaning ourselves as a society. So the signal out there is that even as we will be campaigning base on policy and content, when you slap a PNC member don’t think that we will fold our arms and allow you, we will give you a slap back. If you insult a PNC member we will give you three insults so that the rest of the society will then go and sit down and say enough of the foolishness that is going on in our society. We cannot always play the peaceful persons in society and other people will be doing ugly things so we want to show that if it is about ‘Takashi’, we can do double ‘Takashi’ but we have chosen the path of decency if the rest of the society will not listen it means that is where we want to go”.
He said it is wrong for the National Peace Council to choose when they want to speak when evil is taking place adding that, the Ghana police were quick to invite him for questioning when he made a comment that “if the electoral commission ventures on the trend that they are going, we will beat each other and kill each other” stressing that the same police were quite when a member of the NPP fired a gun at a registration center.
“I spoke at one of the platforms and said that if the electoral commission ventures on the trend that they are going, we will beat each other and kill each other I was a candidate for the police arrest I didn’t shoot a gun they are shooting guns, MPs, Ministers are shooting guns at registration centers, where is the Ghana police, so we too can acquire guns and so let everybody knows including the police that since they have decided to tolerate a certain group of people to showcase that they can be violent, the PNC can also be violent, we too we have blood in us” he stated.
The National Chairman of the PNC indicated that peace can never be gotten through injustice accentuating that if we want peace in Ghana there must be justice prevailing in the society and peace will be a bonus.
“We just want to admonish that if we want peace and you think that our quest for peace is to introduce injustice you cannot achieve peace when there is no justice, let justice prevail in our society and peace will be a bonus”.
Chairman Mornah made the statement on Tuesday August 4, 2020 in Wa during an engagement meeting with delegates of the party as part of the visit made by one of the party’s flagbearer hopefuls, Samson Asaki Awingobit.
