The Member of Parliament for Wa West constituency, Hon Peter Lanchene Toobu in collaboration with the Executives of Ashfar foundation limited has renovated and handed over Delivery Room of the Kangba CHIPS Compound in the Wa West District.
This will improve upon the quality delivery of pregnant women under decent and hygienic conditions and as well increases the quality of health care delivery in the area.
Assemblyman for Siire Electoral Area, Hon Wulo Richard spotted with a lot of joy on his face on behalf of the community expressed his profound gratitude to the MP and Ashfar foundation for the touching their lives with what he describes as timely intervention.
He also seized the opportunity and called on other the Member of parliament and the government to work on the poor road network in the area stressing that the bad roads inhibits the progress and development of the area.
On her part, Madam Cecilia Kakareba Wa West District Director of Health Services, during the handing over ceremony, called on the chiefs and people of Kangba to take good care of the structure in order to getting the facility yielding the needed results.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of Ashfar, Madam Farida Fadameh has stated that, the idea of project got conceived after the Ghana News Agency reported on the plight of women in Kangba who access delivery services at the Kangba CHIPS due to deplorable nature of the delivery room.
However, MP for Wa West constituency, Hon Peter Lanchene Toobu in his brief massage to the people in the area urged them to make judicious use of the facility and also advised parents to reduce the number of children they give birth to in order to be able to cater for the needs of their wards.
